Honoring & Supporting Lone Soldiers

Lone soldiers are men and women from around the world who serve in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) without immediate family in Israel. More than 7,000 lone soldiers are currently serving, demonstrating extraordinary courage, commitment, and sacrifice.

Following the October 7, 2023 attacks, the nation has come together to honor the 43 fallen lone soldiers who gave their lives in the Iron Swords War. Memorial ceremonies, community gatherings, and national initiatives ensure their bravery is remembered and their families honored.

How We Remember and Support Lone Soldiers

Ongoing Support

Partner organizations provide emotional, social, and logistical assistance, ensuring lone soldiers receive care, guidance, and community throughout their service.

Community Engagement

Individuals and communities are encouraged to support lone soldiers through holiday hosting, care packages, educational projects, and acts of encouragement — reminding them they are never alone.

Together, these efforts ensure that those who leave their homes to defend Israel are honored, supported, and remembered — in life and in legacy.
