Israel's Holocaust survivor population is shrinking rapidly — many are elderly, frail, and completely alone. At the same time, nearly 7,000 children live in group homes and foster care, having been removed from homes marked by neglect, abuse, and abandonment. Widows and single mothers struggle daily to provide food, safety, and stability for their children.
The world has largely looked away. IBF hasn't.

Israel Benevolence Fund was founded by Ron Aaronson after hearing a simple, unmistakable call: "It is more important to feed hungry widows and orphans than it is to plant trees in Israel."
That calling became a mission. For years, IBF has partnered with vetted, established organizations serving Israel's most vulnerable populations — ensuring that every dollar reaches those who need it most. Our partners submit quarterly reports, and our team travels to Israel annually to see the impact of our support firsthand.

Four Populations. One Mission.
Widows & Single Mothers
Women raising children alone — often survivors of domestic violence, poverty, or the sudden loss of a spouse — who depend on consistent monthly support to provide food, safety, and stability for their families.
Orphans & At-Risk Children
Nearly 7,000 children in Israel live in group homes, many with no family contact at all. IBF-supported programs provide guardianship, therapy, education, and the experience of belonging to a family.
Holocaust Survivors
Israel's remaining Holocaust survivors are aging. Many are isolated, financially struggling, and without family nearby. IBF partners bring them meals, dignity, community, and care.
Soldiers & Conflict-Affected Families
Over 7,000 lone soldiers serve in the IDF without family in Israel. IBF honors their sacrifice and supports families displaced and destabilized by ongoing conflict.
