Peace in my heart

Peace in my heart

“I also told them about a former Muslim in our congregation in *********, a young man who now follows Yeshua. About a young Bedouin, who’s married to a Jewish woman; they are also members of our congregation.

I showed them that there is hope for our nations; when both Jews and Arabs turn to Yeshua, everything immediately changes between us, animosity is replaced by love for one another and we don’t feel the urge to fight anymore, because the Lord destroys the barriers that separate us. I told them how God gave me such a special love for the Arabs and I was freed from all resentment and hostility.

These Muslim men (I was talking with)  met for the first time in their lives an Israeli Jew who also happens to be a believer in Yeshua. I tried to communicate this small message was with great love, and as a result some of these men from Lebanon and Jordan who are about my age, came to me after the meeting and were visibly touched. They expressed thankfulness, were greatly encouraged and said they would really like to stay in touch with me.

Another amazing opportunity I had to share about my faith was on my flight to Washington. I sat next to a gentleman who turned out to be a high ranking official from the National Security Agency (NSA). He was so surprised to hear that I’m a Jew who believes in Yeshua and had asked me how I felt about the Middle East conflict.

I was very honest and told him that this conflict is religious or spiritual more than anything else, and therefore the solution also has to be spiritual. Everyone knows that all the political agendas have failed, so the only solution is for both Jews and Muslims to turn to God, the Prince of Peace.

I showed him a scripture that promises peace when we unite in worship of the Lord.
Isaiah 19:23-25,

“In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria. The Assyrians will go to Egypt and the Egyptians to Assyria. The Egyptians and Assyrians will worship together. In that day Israel will be the third, along with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing on the earth. The LORD Almighty will bless them, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria my handiwork, and Israel my inheritance.”

This was an opportunity for me to share the Gospel with him through my personal testimony of how the Lord transformed my life completely. How this is not a religion for me, this is my life. He was visibly touched by my testimony and I believe the Lord will continue watering the seeds I was able to sow.”

God Reaching Out to the Youth
TESTIMONY

When young D___ received the Lord, he wasn’t really aware of the price young believers often pay when they choose to follow Yeshua. His friends, especially his best friend, refused to accept the change that took place in his life and in his heart. D____ was not the same and it bothered them.

One day, one of his best friends saw him at the park and started teasing him until things got out of control and he punched D_____ in the face, breaking his nose. He was taken to the hospital where he had to be operated.

While he was under anesthesia, he said an angel came for him and took him to show him heaven. D_____’s account of what he had seen is astonishing mainly because he had never read any books that describe heaven or heard any testimonies of people who’d been there. Yet what he shared was incredibly accurate!

He described streets of gold, pearly gates, flowers and colors we don’t even have here on earth. He described the houses he saw that the Lord has prepared and the majesty of it all.

Then the angel took him and showed him the globe, he saw the earth was in complete darkness but the land of Israel was glowing with light in the center of the earth. It is as though its borders were marked with radiance and glare.

He saw what Isaiah spoke about in chapter 60:1-2, “Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.”

When he woke up he was obviously tremendously impacted by this experience. It has marked his life forever.

When it came to dealing with the cause of his hospitalization, D__________ and his parents went to speak with the boy who attacked D________ and his parents. They told them that they had made the decision not to press charges and simply decided to forgive and put this incident behind them.

Their attitude came as a big shock to that boy and his parents and they were very grateful for this decision. However, the Lord wasn’t finished with this boy, who not long afterwards came to D______ with an astonishing confession that… he himself had now received Yeshua as His Lord!

Imagine someone who had been… [distant from Yeshua now becoming] a brother in the Messiah. That is one of many examples of what God is doing these days among the young people in the Land!

Humanitarian Aid Projects Continue to Expand
(Info From a Messianic congregation in Israel)

“We know that God’s heart is always with the orphans, the widows, the poor and the needy. That is why we feel privileged to minister to His heart by assuming our responsibility as His congregation to take care of such people.

Recently, we have been contacted by an organization called “Children of War.”

They heard of us being believers in Yeshua who extend help to people in need and Holocaust survivors and wanted to ask for our help.

This organization deals “children of war.” It is composed of people who have survived World War II, who were under Nazi occupation, but who weren’t in ghettos or concentration camps. As a result of this, they are not legally called “Holocaust survivors”, which doesn’t make them entitled to the same benefits from the government as Holocaust survivors are. Some of them in fact are Holocaust survivors, but failed to provide the documents to prove it.

These people are Jewish immigrants who are Israeli citizens, and they find themselves living in their old age below poverty line. They receive minimal social security (welfare) because they didn’t work in Israel before making aliya (immigrating to Israel) as pensioners. Often they are unable to buy the most necessary medicine, because their minimal health insurance doesn’t cover most of the things they need.

The government offers subsidized housing in specific areas for Holocaust survivors, but since these people don’t officially fit that category, they carry on their shoulders the full burden of renting an apartment, since they don’t own an apartment themselves.

The food-parcels project is always a tremendous help to these precious people. There are 200 people in total that will receive this much needed help.

We cannot overlook their needs, because extending a helping hand is the very heart of the gospel of Yeshua: love in action. These projects are an opportunity to reveal the heart of God filled with love for people. It is a testimony of Yeshua shining through acts of kindness towards the suffering and the needy.

Join us in making this project bigger by participating in it through your generous giving. Every gift and donation will effectively increase the number of people we can help. You can make a tremendous difference simply because you care enough.”
