“Blessed art Thou, oh Lord our God, King of the Universe,
who has kept us alive, and has preserved us, and enabled us to reach this season.

Baruch ata Adonai Elohenu, Melekh ha’olam, shehekianu,
v’kimanu, v’higianu lazman hazeh
.”

“When they came up out of the water, the Ruach HaKodesh suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. Philip, however, appeared at Azotus (Ashdod) and traveled about, preaching the good news about Messiah in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.”

Acts 8:39-40

Change always invites growth. When Congregation Beth Messiah in Houston finally moved into our own building, there were many details to take care of and many new expenses.

Israel P., the congregational leader of The Voice of Judah, and his congregation are similarly being stretched, Baruch Ha Shem! (Praise God!)

If you have ever moved into a new house or building, you know how to pray.

Pray for the miraculous provision of finances to cover the periodic rent and all the necessary equipment they must still purchase: chairs, musical instruments, technical equipment, furniture for children’s rooms and so much more.

Your donations enable Israel Benevolence Fund to help support Israel P.’s ministry to the people of Ashdod and Judah.

A ministry to orphans, widows and single parents in the body of Messiah in Israel

“Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me!
We are for signs and wonders in Israel” (Isa. 8:18).

Orna reaching out through a “Woven with Gold” workshop

Ot Oo’Mofet [Oat u mowfet] is an indigenous Israeli ministry founded by Orna G. in 2003. Orna was born in Israel and was saved in 1983, during a visit to South Africa. A year later she was back in
Israel, teaching in a Messianic study center, translating and editing professionally and for many years has run her own publishing business. Through a series of wrong choices, she became pregnant outside of wedlock. Orna has never married the child’s father, an unbeliever, so she herself is a single mother. Her own struggle and experience taught her to rely on God in depths and areas she never knew before.
Later, as she saw other single mothers struggling alone and sought the Lord about how He sees these women, He revealed to her His heart for single parents and the fatherless, and called her to serve them. The Ot Oo’Mofet team has grown, as Mona and Arik P., Stephanie W., Tamar M., Irena G, and
Marisa M, have also been called to help the work among widows and orphans.

Threefold Purpose

  1. To make known God’s name as the Father to the fatherless and the defender of widows
    (Ps. 68:5).
  2. To provide teaching to the body and leadership worldwide concerning God’s heart towards the widows, the fatherless and single-parent families (based on James 1:27). We teach how the curse of widowhood can turn into a source of great blessing to the entire body; how an impossible situation can turn into a Sign and a Wonder of God’s ability to restore.
  3. To help orphans, widows and single parents see God as their source and equip them with the necessary tools.

“Woven with Gold” workshops (based on Ps. 45:13)

We hold 4-5 month workshops for widows and single parents throughout the country. “From ashes to victory” is our motto, and we have seen this happen again and again, as broken women are rising up from their ashes and moving into victory in all aspects of their lives. The Lord has shown us the way to go about it using the Tabernacle, the pattern for worship that He designed. We encourage the women to leave behind their passive position in the inner court, and actively seek the Lord by moving through the Tabernacle until they get to the Holy of Holies. Only there will His glory take over their shame, and then their turmoil and heaviness will turn forever into order and joy.
For this purpose we use a half-scale model of the Tabernacle furniture, which helps each woman physically identify with the truths each piece represents. The Tabernacle has proved to be a powerful and an amazing tool! Walking through the Tabernacle towards the Holy of Holies exposes the lies they believe about God, and encourages them to stand on His truth in all areas of their lives: parenting, budgeting, relationships, bitterness, anger, male authority, sexual purity, and many others. By the end of the workshop they have a very tangible model to use, after they have tasted of the Lord and have seen that He is good.
